Participation

States Parties shall assure to the child who is capable of forming his or her own views the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child (Art. 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989).

Autonomy

States Parties recognize the right of the child to rest and leisure (Art. 31) and the right to a standard of living adequate for the chil’'s physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development (Art. 27). Giving children back experiences of independent mobility guarantees these rights.

Play

States Parties shall respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life and shall encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for cultural, artistic, recreational and leisure activity (Art. 31).

International network

It is a space for meeting, exchanging experiences and building common strategies with the shared objective of realizing and strengthening the project of an urban context suitable for children.

Training

In this section there are some useful tools and materials for understanding and developing the project.
For those who have joined the international network it is possible to view the basic training course on the project.

Research

The international laboratory carries out research on the two main axes of the project: the participation of children in the governance and planning of the city and their autonomous mobility in the urban environment.
